Chartered Architectural Technologist

Graham Mowat studied at Robert Gordon university in Aberdeen (RGU). Over the last 25 years he has worked for various firms in Aberdeen and the central belt, notably on public health buildings for the NHS and care homes for private clients. More recently his focus has been on delivering homes for people, including: self-build dwellings, developer housing, homes for housing associations, refurbishment of traditional buildings and domestic extensions. He completed training provided by Historic Environment Scotland on Energy Efficiency Measures for Older and Traditional Buildings, he holds a qualification as On Construction Energy Assessor and is a member of the Elmhurst Energy Psi-Value Competency Scheme.

Formerly an Associate with Bracewell Stirling Architects, Graham has developed a thorough understanding of the technical and regulatory complexities involved in architectural design. He specialises in energy-efficient building design, with expertise spanning both new-build projects and retrofit developments.

Graham works closely with each client to manage a diverse range of projects, from small-scale residential renovations to larger commercial developments. He is valued for his meticulous attention to detail, strong technical grounding, and ability to deliver innovative, practical design solutions tailored to each client's individual needs.

Graham remains actively engaged with the wider architectural community and is a member of several professional bodies, including the Chartered Institute of Architectural Technologists (CIAT), reflecting his ongoing commitment to industry standards and professional development.

Coordinate and manage the technical aspects of a project, ensuring designs meet regulations, budgets, and client requirements.
Work independently or as part of multidisciplinary teams alongside architects, engineers, contractors, and other construction professionals.
